iQtek Foundation announces its first charity golf tournament

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – The iQtek Foundation announced the celebration of its first golf tournament to be held next August 10th at Corales golf course at Punta Cana Resort & Club, during a cocktail party held at Hoyo 20 in Santo Domingo.

The presentation of this first golf classic was led by Mrs. Glenda Borbón, president of the iQtek Foundation, who explained that this tournament will be held with the objective of donating the proceeds to the Pedro Martínez Foundation.

“As human beings we are called to offer support and shelter to those who need it most. In this case, our foundation feels the commitment to contribute so that needy Dominican youth have better opportunities. That is the reason why we work so hard to celebrate this 1st golf classic, the benefits of which will be donated entirely to the beneficiary foundation,” said Mrs. Borbón. 

Through the 18 holes of the Corales golf course, experiences and attention from sponsors will be provided for participating players, promising an innovative event for the local golf community.

The event will be endorsed by the Dominican Golf Federation and will put more than 100 local businessmen in competition who will play under the Scramble modality in pairs with 25% of the handicap, in categories A, B and C. The first net places will be awarded of each category, as well as the Best Gross Score of the tournament.

The grand champions of the fair will be announced during the awards ceremony, which will be followed by a dance dinner and an 80's merengue show at the Westin Hotel.
